Gas mileage and the world's smallest glove compartment
Advice to buyer:
Make sure this vehicle is on your list if you are looking at small SUV's.
Detailed review:
This is the first SUV I've ever owned. I've always been a car guy. I do like the tall commanding view of the Liberty. It's taller than other small SUV's and as tall, if not taller than most mid-size or full-size SUV's. The Liberty has a solid feel. It's smooth driving and very comfortable for my 6'1' 210 lb. body. I got the leather seats, CD changer and Sirius radio. I'm really enjoying driving it. I could do with some more storage space and the glove compartment is a joke. I've been getting about 20 mpg on the highway and 16 mpg in the city. I wish that was a little higher but overall, I highly recommend the Liberty. I also test drove a Mazda Tribute. It didn't feel as well built and I could feel the body sway in hard turns. I also test drove a Toyota Rav4. I liked it a lot but the price was too high and it didn't seem like it was a better vehicle than the Liberty
